The Subdivision Committee of the City Planning Commission met at 4:00 p.m.,
Tuesday, March 16, 1965, in the City Council Room in the City
Administration Building,
PRESENT: Susanne Lighton, Chairman
J. A. Vizzier, Planning Consultant
Bob Battenfield
Mrs. W. G: Shipley
Mrs. Frank Leach
Suzanne U-1�1-,ton, Chairman of the Subdivision Committee, reported that
the purpose of this meeting was to discuss with Mrs. Shipley and her
engineer the necessary steps to be taken prior to approve of the pre�
liminary plat by the Planning Commission,
During the meeting the question of the type of improvement which would be
required on streets within the subdivision and the question of who is to
be responsible for the improvemsnts�subdivider or subdivider and propertt
owners�was discussed.
A summary of the discussion was given for the benefit of the subdivider.
• 1. SangAvenue is to be left in the preliminary plat;
2. Sang Avenue is to be paved, curbed and guttered because the
right of way is less than 50 feet as required by the
ordinance; and
3. Engineer is to furnish Shipley's with cost of improvement
of Sang Avenue and Shipley's in turn are to work out with
the other property owners aemeans on sharing the expense.
There was no further discussion of the W. G. Shipley Addition.

Committee.The lot and building problem of Otis Stobaugh was discussed by the

the circuit clerk would accept. It was the of the Committee
that lots and blocks would be a better means of describing the real
estate than by motes
The preliminary plat of HILLSIDE ADDITION was given consideration. Bob
Battenfield, engineer br Oleva 0. Hebbard, inquired if three lots
(lots 10, 11 and 12) could be divided so as to creat 2 lots. The
Subdivision Committee approved the lot division. This arrangement was
necessary because of the high pressure gas main which crossed these
three lots.
There being no further discussion, the meeting was adjourned.
