The Subdivision Committee
Tuesday, March 2, 1965,
Administration Building.
COMMITTEE MEETING
of the Planning Commission met at 3:30 p.m.,
in the City Planning Office in the City
PRESENT: Suzanne Lighton, Chairman
Bryan Walker
J. A. Vizzier, Planning Consultant
The preliminary plat of Hillside Addition was discussed. The Subdivision
Committee was prepared to recommend to the Planning Commission that the
preliminary plat be returned to the subdivider and engineer and that the
Planning Commission reject the plat submitted until satisfactory revision
is made of lots 9, 10, 11 and 12 across which two high pressure gas
mains are located and other minor corrections are made.
The below items are the minor corrections and other problems.
1. Two high pressure gas mains cross lots 9, 10, 11 and 12.
The gas company requires a 25 foot setback on each side
of these gas mains. These lots should be redesigned.
2. Additional easements for utilities have been requested on the
south side of lots 1 and 12. (Existing 8 inch sewer main on
the south side of lot 1 has no easement.)
3. An additional 5 feet has been requested on the west end of lots
10 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6. The plat should show 10 feet instead of
5 feet.
4. No topography contour map.
5. Err or in the legal description and an error in the number of
acres within the subdivision.
6. The adjacent subdivisions are noted on the preliminary plat;
however the property owner or owners of the undeveloped property
to the east is now shown.
7. There is no evidence that the property owners of the undeveloped
land have seen the preliminary plat. The Planning Commission
suggested a simple statement that the plat had been seen by said
property owner, signed by the property owner and dated, would
be sufficient evidence.
The meeting adjourned at 4:00 p.m.
