STREET COMMITTEE MEETING AGENDA
The City of Fayetteville Street Committee will be meeting in Room 326 of City
Hall at 4 :30 P.M. on Monday, January 14, 2008 . The following topics proposed for
discussion at the committee meeting include:
1 . Call Meeting to Order by Chairman Lioneld Jordan.
2. Approval of the minutes from the December 10, 2007 Street Committee meeting.
3 . Presentation of options to improve the vehicular and pedestrian safety on Poplar Street
near the Woodland Junior High School. This item was tabled at the December 10,
2007 meeting for further study and discussion.
4. Discussion of the traffic calming that was approved to be installed on Winwood Avenue
between Mission Boulevard and Old Wire Road.
5 . Discussion to determine the status of Elkins Road as a private drive or City street. Elkins
Road is located within the annexed area off of Wedington Drive to the west of Double
Springs Road and to the east of 85'" Street (formerly Harmon Road). This item was
tabled at the December 10, 2007 meeting for further discussion.
6. Presentation from the Transportation Division of the 2007 accomplishments and the
proposed street overlay and sidewalk improvement plan for 2008.
7. Scheduling of the next Street Committee Meeting.
