HomeMy WebLinkAbout1987-04-30 Minutes• MINUTES OF A PLAT REVIEW MEETING A meeting of the Fayetteville Plat REview Committee was held on Thursday, April 30, 1987 in Room 111 of the City Administration Building, 113 West Moutain Street, Fayetteville, Arkansas. UTILITY REPRESENTATIVES PRESENT: Dale Cheatham, Kenneth Wagner and Dennis Burrack CITY REPRESENTATIVES PRESENT: Don Bunn, Larry Poage, Sandra Carlisle and Tessi Franzmeier LARGE SCALE DEVELOPMENT - SUPERIOR INDUSTRIES WAYNE JONES - 1901 COMMERCE DRIVE The only item of consideration was a plan for Large Scale Development for an addition to Superior Industries located at 1901 Commerce Drive. Property zoned I-2, General Industrial and represented by Wayne Jones of Superior Industries. LARRY POAGE - FIRE DEPARTMENT Poage asked if any additional fire exits would be added with the new addition. Mr. Jones replied there would be one new additional exit to the exterior of the proposed building (north side). Poage asked if the sprinkler system would.: beadded to the proposed building, and Mr. Jones said the sprinkler system would be exactly like the existing system. Poage asked what the proposed addition would be used for, and Mr. Jones said Superior was going to expand their manufacturing capability. He said just let her know what was going on at this location as to discharge. SANDRA CARLISLE - PLANNING DIRECTOR Carlisle noted that when the original plant was built, extra parking was added for future expansion. There are over 200 spaces provided and only 166 required counting the new addition. Therefore, no more parking is necessary. She requested proof of notification of adjoining property owners either by certified mail, signatures on the plat or running an ad in the legal section of the local newspaper. Mr. Jones said he thought the notification of adjoining property owners was only if they were of a different zoning classification. Mr. Jones said that the code stated the developer shall give notice of the proposed_development to the owners of any property having a common boundary with and a different zoning classification than property proposed for development. Carlisle requested proof of notification of all adjoining property owners with common boundary or a different zoning classification. She advised that the Subdivision Committee would meet on May 7, 1987 at 3:30 p.m., if approval was abtained at that meeting there would be no need to attend the Planning Commission meeting on May 11, 1987 at 5:00 p.m. WALLY BRT - SANITATION SUPERINTENDENT Brt said the City did not service Superior Industries.
