A meeting of the Fayetteville Plat Review Committee was held on Thursday,
June 26, 1986 at 9:00 A.M. in Room 111 of the City Administration
Building, 113 West Mountain Street, Fayetteville, Arkansas.
UTILITY REPRESENTATIVES PRESENT: Kenneth Wagner, L.O. Ferguson,
Dennis Burraak and Dale Cheatham
CITY REPRESENTATIVES PRESENT: Dennis Ledbetter, Sandra Carlisle
and Tessi Franzmeier
SEQUOYAH UNITED METHODIST CHURCH EXPANSION OF LSD
1910 OLD WIRE ROAD
The only item of consideration today was the proposed expansion of
the large seale development for Sequoyah United Methodist Church located
at 1910 Old Wire Road, zoned R-1, Low Density Residential District
and represented by Delwin Nation.
DALE CHEATHAM - SOUTHWESTERN BELL
Cheatham stated Bell saw no problem with this addition.
DENNIS LEDBETTER - FIRE DEPARTMENT
Ledbetter asked Delvin Nation if the new addition would be connected
to the existing building and Nation stated it would be enelosed to
the existing building. Ledbetter also stated the recommendation for
fire extinguishers would be every 2500 square feet. Ledbetter asked
what the seating eapasity would be and Nation said 200-250 and there
would be 5 exits with exit lights on the out exits.
KENNETH WAGNER - ARKANSAS WESTERN GAS
Wagner stated the meter for the existing building is on the north
side 15 to 20 feet of the northwest corner. Wagner stated the new
building will have 4500 sq. ft., Nation stated they will have gas
heat and Wagner advised the best way to extend the yard line would
be from the existing meter to the new building, at that time a larger
meter would be installed and the line size determined.
Nation asked Wagner how elose can they bury the electrical serviee
to the gas line. Wagner stated there is no set specifieation but
the gas company would asked you keep it 5 feet from the gas service.

Wagner asked Nation when aonstruation would begin and Nation stated
in August with a completion date of approximately six months. Wagner
stated they would change the meter out before told weather.
DENNIS BURRACK - SWEPCO
Burraek stated the existing service is coming from a north pole line
located at the private drive. Burraek asked Nation what kind of service
they were looking at and Nation said they would like to stay with
the single phase with 200 amp service. Burraek advised the service
will come from one meter.
L.O. FERGUSON - WARNER AMEX CABLE
Ferguson asked if they anticipated having cable T.V. in the new building
and Nation stated no they were not.
SANDRA CARLISLE - PLANNING DIRECTOR
Carlisle advised that adjoining property owners must be notified by
either certified mail with return cards submitted to the Planning
Office, signatures of property owners on a copy of the plat or an
ad in the legal section of the local newspaper with proof of publination.
She requested 2 handicapped parking spaces that will be marked as
sueh and 20% of the parking may be designated "compact". She also
requested a view obscuring feriae or vegetation between the parking
and the R-distriet which is to the South. She advised that a waiver
on the screening requirement maybe granted upon a written request
to the Planning Commission the waiver would eonsist of 10% landscaping
of plants at least 18 inches high upon planting. She also requested
two copies of "as-builts" due upon completion of the projeet and
10 copies of revisions to this plat in the Planning Office by July
7th for Subdivision Committee on July 10th.
CLAYTON POWELL - PUBLIC CONTRACTS
Powell was unable to attend this meeting but notified Carlisle of
his eomments: Powell said the eity would aaeept a dedieation on Old
Wire road and a bill of assurance on the street and sidewalk improvements.
DON OSBURN - WATER METER SUPERINTENDENT
Osburn was unable to attend this meeting but forwarded these comments:
If additional plumbing is required a larger meter might be needed.
Nation stated there would be no plumbing involved in this addition.
There being no further discussion, the meeting adjourned at 10:00A.M.
