HomeMy WebLinkAbout1982-04-22 MinutesMINUTES OF A PLAT REVIEW COMMITTEE MEETING A meeting of the Plat Review Committee was held at 9:00 A.M., Thursday, April 22, 1982, in the Director's Room, City Administration Building, Fayetteville, Arkansas. UTILITY REPRESENTATIVES PRESENT: Kenneth Wagner. CITY REPRESENTATIVES PRESENT: Clayton Powell, Wally Brt, Cynthia Stewart, Bobbie Jones. OTHERS PRESENT: Jim Stephens, Rick Cowdrey. The Plat Review Committee reviewed the Final Plat for Southern Heights, Phase I, located South of Lighton Trail, S 8 J Company Owner and Developer, property zoned R-1, Low Density Residential District. Jim Stephens and Rick Cowdrey were present FINAL PLAT SOUTHERN HEIGHTS, PHASE I S $ J COMPANY to represent. 1. Clayton Powell (City Street Superintendent): Powell stated this is the most complete and desirable subdivision he has seen developed in Fayetteville in his eleven years working for the City. He said he has performed his final inspection on the site and that with the receipt of a bill of assurances concerning trees and a one year warranty on improvements he is satisfied with improvements. He stated he needs a copy of the off-site drainage structure easement from Mr. Plebus. Powell said he was in the area and it appeared there was water coming up through the pavement of one of the culs-de-sac and that the developer may want to have the water department check for leaks. Powell stated that since Rodgers Drive has been paved by this developer, people have been parking on both sides of the street making it difficult to travel the paved portion of Rodgers Drive. He stated he would like the respective body of the City to take action to prohibit parking on either side of Rodgers Drive from the intersection with Oklahoma Way to the entrance to the Subdivision. 2. Wally Brt (City Sanitation Superintendent): Stated he was in agreement with Clayton Powell in that there should be no parking on Rodgers Drive. 3. Kenneth Wagner (Arkansas Western Gas Company): Stated this subdivision is very well laid out, the lots are marked well, gas service is in place. 4. Bobbie Jones (City Planning Administrator): Stated she had not gone through the plat completely. A. Add a note that the Planning Commission granted waivers on street light spacing on September 8, 1980 and May 11, 1981. C. Omit "to be" on right-of-way for future cul-de-sac on Lighton Trail. 5. L. 0. Ferguson (Warner Cable Company): Appeared after the meeting adjourned and stated that all cable service is in place. 6. Don Bunn (City Engineer): Called the City Planning Office and reported that water and sewer service isin place and that he had no comments. 7. Avery Auten (MA BELL): Telephoned in his comments. He said easements are fine and service is in place. 133
