The Fayetteville Plat Review Committee met at 9:00 A.M., Thursday, May 15, 1980,
in the Directors Room, City Administration Building, Fayetteville, Arkansas
CITY REPRESENTATIVES PRESENT: Bobbie Jones, Larry Poage, Cynthia Stewart
UTILITY REPRESENTATIVES PRESENT: Kenneth Wagner
The first and only item for discussion
was the closing of a portion•:of Company Street
between Assembly and Vinson, submitted by Hugh
Longino and Bill Bracey.
COMPANY STREET CLOSING
BETWEEN ASSEMBLY $ VINSON
1. Kenneth Wagner ,(Arkansas Western Gas): Said that Arkansas Western Gas does
not need to get up into this area. Mr. Wagner was interested to know what the
plans were for this area. He said that he had no objection to the closing.
2. Larry Poage (City Fire Department): Wanted to know who had requested the closing.
Bobbie Jones said that the person requesting the closing was Hugh Longino
and Bill Bracey. Mr. Poage said that he did not have any objection to the closing.
3. Bobbie Jones (City Planning Administrator): Said that the property line would be
moved to the center of the street if it is vacated. Mrs. Jones said they have a
small water line in the right-of-way. She also stated that they may have to install
another water line in the future; therefore, the City needs a utility easement.
She also said that Clayton Powell was requesting a drainage easement.
Mrs. Jones said that Larry Wood had commented that he thought that there should
be a Bill of Assurance, from the property owners, stating that they will not
sell any landlocked portions of land after the closing.
