A meeting of the Fayetteville Plat Review Committee was held on Thursday, August 31,
1978, at 9:00 A. M., in the Board of Directors Room, City Administration Building,
Fayetteville, Arkansas.
CITY REPRESENTATIVES PRESENT: Angie Medlock, Bobbie Jones, Larry Poage, Don Bunn,
Don Osburn, Wally Brt.
UTILITY REPRESENTATIVES PRESENT: Andy Calloway, Kenneth Wagner, Clyde Terry, Jimmy
Crownover. GRANNY'S COUNTRY CUPBOARD
LSD, NORTHWEST ARKANSAS PLAZA
Bobbie Jones explained that the only reason this is coming before the Plat Review
Committee is because the developer is proposing an additional drive onto the service
road.
1. Wally Brt (Sanitation Superintendent): Mr. Brt said he had talked to Jay Berryman,
and they have worked out the location for the trash container.
2. Andy Calloway (Southwestern Bell): Said they cross the access road and have an
above -ground closure on the west side into Superior Federal. Mr. Calloway said
he cannot remember if there is any grass between that closure and the property to
the south, but if there is and the line needs to go under this area, it should
be encased in conduit. Mr. Calloway said they would have to provide a minimum
3" schedule PVC conduit from the building out under their driveway and under any
asphalt or concrete back to the north. This would be out from their building
going back north. Mr. Calloway said they would prefer to have an entrance inside
the building and not terminate the line on the outside of the building. The
owner will need to furnish a place inside for the telephone.
3. Clyde Terry (Warner Cable): Cable is not available in the immediate area He
said if they request t.v. cable service, they would ask the developer to
participate in the cost and it would be quite expensive because there would be
some boring under the streets required. Mr. Terry asked that the owner contact
him if they require cable service. If they do, Warner Cable would require conduit
into the building.
4. Kenneth Wagner (Arkansas Western Gas): The gas company has a 6" high-pressure
gas line on the east side of the Frontage Road and have an intermediate pressure
line that crosses the Frontage Road on the south side on the Superior Federal
property. Mr. Wagner said he doesn't know where that crosses in relation to this
property. Mr. Wagner said the gas meter should be set near the building and
recommended that the gas line running under the pavement be encased. He asked
that they contact the gas company before doing any digging so they can locate
their line.
5. James Crownover (Ozarks Electric): There is a transformer located to the north-
west of this property which they would serve from. All wire from the transformer
to the building would be furnished at the developer's expense. Mr. Crownover
asked that they contact them before doing any digging so they can locate their
line for them.
6. Don Bunn (City Engineer): Water and sewer are available on the east side of the
building, and there is a fire hydrant in frontof the building. They will need to
obtain a curb cut permit from the City Engineer before cutting the curb.
7. Larry Poage (Fire Inspector): No comments.
8. Don Osburn (Water Meter Superintendent): You will need to have the site card up
for temporary water and will need to have permanent numbers on the house before
Plat Review Committee Meeting
August 31, 1978:
• permanent water can be hooked up.
•
9. Bobbie Jones (Planning Administrator): Do not empty on-site drainage onto the
street.
The meeting adjourned at 9:35 A.M.
