The Plat Review Committee of the City of Fayetteville, met at 3:30 P.M.,
Wednesday, September 22, 1971, in the Directors Room, City Administration
Building, Fayetteville, Arkansas,
Present: Clayton Powell, Harold Lieberenz.
Utility Representatives: David Tucker, Clyde Terry, Herbert Holcomb,
70
The matter for discussion at this meeting was the proposed Final Plat A.W.REALTY
of A. W. Realty showing Blocks 1, 2, and 9 for immediate development. Final Plat
Comments were as follows:
1. Herbert Holcomb: His company has purchased from the property
owners a 50 ft. easement along and parallel to the right-of-
way of Highway 71 and the preliminary plat showed this 50 ft*
easement and a separate 50 £t. street; therefore, they requested
that this not be dedicated as a 100 ft. street but as a 50
ft. easement and a 50 ft. street.
2. David Tucker: His company also purchased a 50 ft. easement
and he also requested the easement and street right-of-way
be shown separately. His easement is recorded in the County
Court House in Book 729, Pages 174 and 175. Also, the 50
ft. easement should be against the Highway 71 right-of-way
all the way.np (including on the West side of Block 9)•
3•
Herbert Holcomb: Happy with other streets wherever and how-
•
ever they want to do them. Also, did agree the easement between
Blocks 1 and 2 could be eliminated if they desire.
4.
Larry Wood: Was not present, but relayed the following questions
by phone. (1) Mentioned easement shown as street ROW questioned
earlier by Mr. Tucker and Mr. Holcomb). (2) What happened to
connection they were working on to Millsap Road? (3) What
happened to access point from the West end of Sain Street onto
Highway 71? (4) Building setback not shown on West side of
Block 9—should show 50 ft. setback.
5.
Clayton Powell: Questioned the width of the outlet of Joyce -
Stearns Street at the very Northwest corner of the property.
Also, felt strongly that the radius ought to be increased from
30 ft. to 50 ft. since this involves industrial use.
The meeting was adjourned at 4:30 P.M.
