HomeMy WebLinkAbout1971-07-28 MinutesMINUTES OF A PIAT REVIEW COMMITTEE MEETING 60 A group discussion by Harold Lieberenz, Larry Wood, and Paul Mattke was held on the morning of July 28, 1971, concerning the proposed preliminary plat of Brookside Addition. After a lengthy review of the proposed plat, it was the opinion of those present that: 1. Provisions should be made to tie a street throught Lot 20, North from the proposed subdivision to connect into Collette Avenue. If the developer owns land between the proposed subdivision and Collette Avenue, then the developer should dedicate and improve said "tie-in" street. 2. There appeared to be no water or sewer problems for the proposed subdivision. 3. Paul Mattke requires a 25 -ft. drainage easement on each side of the centerline of the creek. 4. The proposed plat does not comply with the Major Street Plan as it has the main East-West street located through the center of the proposed subdivision instead of along the Township line (Township Road.) This design as proposed in the preliminary subdivision plat would in effect "mess up" the Major Street Plan, 5. The proposal, as presented, would "mess up" quite a large number of lots if and when the Major Street Plan were carried out and Township Road were to be extended East through the subdivision. The result would be a number of odd -shaped lots. 6. The Plat Review Committee hereby recommends the disapproval of the subdivision as presented. 7. It is further recommended that the subdivision be redesigned by dedicating and improving Township Road with a 60 -ft, right-of-way across the South part of the property and designing a loop, intersecting with Township Road on the West, running across the property to tie in to Township Road again on the East part of the property and having interconnecting streets.
