HomeMy WebLinkAbout1971-01-29 MinutesMINUTES OF A PLAT REVIEW COMMITTEE MEETING 27 The Fayetteville Plat Review Committee met at 3:45 P.M., Fri ay, January 29, 1971, in the Directors Room, City Administration Building, Fayetteville, Arkansas. Present: Harold Lieberenz, Paul Nattke. Utility Representative Present: Herbert Holcomb. Before the Committee today was a large scale development plan submitted by McClelland Engineers for their office location. Mr. Holcomb and MCCLELLAND ENGINEERS Mr. Mattke both indicated there were no problems as far as they were concerned. Mr. Lieberenz explained there was a use problem on one phase of the expansion. It might require rezoning. He explained to them the City Attorney's opinion regarding the Major Street Plan as expressed in a joint meeting with the Planning Commission earlier that day. He said the City could ask Cummings -Goff to give the additional right of way, but all we can require is additional setback for future purposes. Regarding East Gate No. 2, the City Attorney's opinion was that the Planning Commission can refuse to approve a plat if they do not like the lay out of the subdivision and if it doesn't meet all the regulations. He felt some land could be required here, because there is a street started. Mr. Holcomb stated that he had a personal interest in some property lying West of the extension of Willow Avenue. He would be willing to co-operate in an improvement district to help in improving Willow Avenue. The meeting was adjourned at 4:10 P.M.
