The Fayetteville Plat Review Committee met at 3:45 P.M., Fri ay,
January 29, 1971, in the Directors Room, City Administration Building,
Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Present: Harold Lieberenz, Paul Nattke.
Utility Representative Present: Herbert Holcomb.
Before the Committee today was a large scale development plan submitted
by McClelland Engineers for their office location. Mr. Holcomb and MCCLELLAND ENGINEERS
Mr. Mattke both indicated there were no problems as far as they were
concerned. Mr. Lieberenz explained there was a use problem on one
phase of the expansion. It might require rezoning.
He explained to them the City Attorney's opinion regarding the Major
Street Plan as expressed in a joint meeting with the Planning Commission
earlier that day. He said the City could ask Cummings -Goff to give
the additional right of way, but all we can require is additional
setback for future purposes.
Regarding East Gate No. 2, the City Attorney's opinion was that the
Planning Commission can refuse to approve a plat if they do not
like the lay out of the subdivision and if it doesn't meet all the
regulations. He felt some land could be required here, because there
is a street started.
Mr. Holcomb stated that he had a personal interest in some property
lying West of the extension of Willow Avenue. He would be willing to
co-operate in an improvement district to help in improving Willow
Avenue.
The meeting was adjourned at 4:10 P.M.
