The Fayetteville Planning Commission met in a called session at 11:00 A.M.,
Monday, June 29, 1970, in the Directors Room of the City Administration
Building, Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Members Present: Clark McClinton, Ernest Jacks, Dr. Walter Broom,
Helen Edmiston, Al Donaubauer.
Members Absent: Dr. James Mashburn, Byron Boyd, Morton Gitelman,
Roy Clinton.
Others Present: David Malone (City Attorney), Harold Lieberen$.
The purpose of this meeting was to adopt a revised Planning Area
Map for Fayetteville.
Dr. Walter Brown moved that the Planning Commission adopt the map
introduced by David Malone as the Official Planning Area Map for
Fayetteville. Al Donaubauer seconded the motion. It was approved
unanimously.
Resolution PC 8-70 was read to the Commission by David Malone.
Al Donaubauer moved the resolution be approved and adopted.
Dr. Walter Brown seconded the motion. It was approved unanimously.
At this time the Chairman, Clark McClinton, and the Secretary, Ernest
Jacks, signed the Planning Area Map, new Zoning District Map, and
Resolutions PC 4-70 and PC 8-70.
The meeting was adjourned at 11:20 A.M.

PLANNING AREA MAP
LAND USE
RESOLUTION PC 8-70
WHEREAS, the
City
Planning Commission has had
under study a report
known as "General
Plan
1970-1990, Volumes I and II",
and
WHEREAS, public hearings were held by the City Planning Commission
Thursday, February 19, 1970, and Friday, February 20, 1970, fifteen (15)
days after said plans were placed on display in the Office of City Planning
and after a notice was published in the Northwest Arkansas Times, a news-
paper of general circulation, and
WHEREAS, after the public hearings and after further considerations
and revisions of said plans by the Planning Commission, the Planning
Commission voted on May 21, 1970, to make a recommendation to the Board of
Directors on "General Plan 1970-1990, Volumes I and II" incorporated with
a proposed zoning district map for the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY PLANNING
SECTION 1. That attached hereto and made a part hereof, marked
Exhibit A, be adopted as a land use plan to guide the future planning and
development of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas.
SECTION 2. That the General Plan found in said volumes following
Page 92 in Volume I with revisions adopted by the City Planning Commission
be adopted as a land use map for the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas,
SECTION 3. That the City Planning Commission recommends to the Board
of Directors of the City of Fayetteville that said land use plan and land
use map be adopted by the Board of Directors of the City of Fayetteville,
Arkansas,
PASSED AND APPROVED THIS 29th day of June , 1970.
