HomeMy WebLinkAbout1969-10-14 MinutesMINUTES OF A PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING • The Planning Commission met at 4:10 P.M. on Tuesday, October 14, 19690 in the Board of Directors Room of the City Administration Building, Fayetteville, Arkansas. Members Present: Clark McClinton, Morton Gitelman, Allan Gilbert, Dr. Walter Brown, Byron Boyd, Ernest Jacks, Dr. James Mashburn, Roy Clinton. Members Absent: Wade Fincher, Others Present: Harold Lieberenz, James Vizzier. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Clark McClinton. The Planning Commission met in a special meeting to hear reports of two appointed committees studying the Proposed Zoning Map and the Proposed Zoning Ordinance and Subdivision Regulations submitted by James Vizzier, Planning Consultant, Ernest Jacks, Chairman of the committee on the Zoning Map, stated that they had studied the physical map itself. Morton Gitelman, Chairman of the committee to study the Zoning Ordinance and Subdivision Regulations, explained the purpose of "use units" as • written in the ordinance. Basically he felt the mechanics of the ordinance were good, but questioned certain area of it. A lengthy discussion ensued. There had not been sufficient time to study the Subdivision Regulations in depth. Roy Clinton left the meeting at 5:00 P.M. Ernest Jacks again directed the Commissions attention to the actual Zoning Map. This also was discussed. Both committees felt further study was necessary before final reports and recommendations could be made. The'meeting was adjourned at 6:00 P.M.
