HomeMy WebLinkAbout1969-09-26 MinutesaT Z4 Z, i , 14 �9 MINUTES OFA PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING • The Planning Commission met at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 26, 1969, in the Directors Room of the City Administration Building, Fayetteville, Arkansas. Members Present: Wade Fischer, Byron Boyd, Roy Clinton, James Mashburn, Morton Gitelman, Ernest Jacks, Clark McClinton, Allan Gilbert. Members Absent: Walter Brown. Others Present: Jim Vizzier, Wesley Howe. The meeting was called to order by the Chairman, Clark McClinton. This meeting was called to discuss the future Land Use, Transportation, and Facilities Plan. Topics of discussion at this meeting were: 1. Land Use and Major Street Plan, and 2. Community Facilities Plan. The first item presented by Mr. Jim Vizzier, Planning Consultant, was the Land Use Plan. After some discussion a motion was made, seconded, and approved unanimously to approve this plan as presented, incorporating the changes discussed and to recommend it to the City Board of Directors. • Allan Gilbert left the meeting at this time. The Major Street Plan was the next item presented. After discussion, Morton Gitelman made a motion to approve the Major Street Plan. This motion was seconded by Ernest Jacks and approved unanimously. The Community Facilities Plan was brought up at this time. This plan was discussed and some changes recommended. Morton Gitelman left the meeting at 11:45. A motion was made by Ernest Jacks that the Community Facilities Plan be approved with the recommended changes added. The motion was seconded by James Mashburn and approved unanimously. A meeting of the Planning Commission was set up for Tuesday, September 30, 1969, at 4:00 P.M. to discuss Public Buildings Inventory and Needs, and the Public Utilities Plan. There being no further business, the special meeting was adjourned at 11:55 p.m. 11
