The meeting was called to order by the Chairman, Clark McClinton. The first

a street off of Old Wire Road North. The street right of way deed was furnished
by Keith B. carton, Nancy Garton, Jerry Lee Bailey, Geneva Christing Bailey,
Walker Bailey and Lora E. Bailey.
Mr. Keith Garton was present at the meeting because he is anxious to erect a new
dwelling on property fronting on part of the new proposed street. Mr. Mahlon
Gibson was the spokesman for Mr. Keith Garton,
The Planning Commission was concerned about the City accepting any street of
less than fifty (50) feet. Mr. Gibson explained that Mr. Keith Galton had
purchased the land while it was still outside the City limits of Fayetteville,
Arkansas. Now that it is inside the City the property must front upon a didicated
street in order to get a building permit. Mr. Mahlon Gibson stated that's,
thirty (30) foot street right of way was all that Mr. Keith Garton could get
the other property owners to give at this. time.
Some of the members of the Planning Commission felt that additional street width
could be obtained in the future at such time that the other property is sub-
divided. After a lengthy discussion Wade Fischer moved for the City to accept
the thirty foot street dedication at this time. Byron Boyd seconded the motion
and was unanimously approved.
WHEREAS, a warranty deed, for the dedication of a 30 foot street was
presented to the City Planning Commission for recommendation.
