MINUTES OF A CITY PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING
The City Planning Commission met in a special meeting at 4:00 P.M., Tuesday,
July 11, 1967, in the City Directors Room in the City Administration Building,
Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Members present: Clark McClinton, Ernest Jacks, Allen Gilbert,
Byron Boyd and Wade Fincher.
Members absent: James Mashburn, Henry Shreve, Roy Clinton, and
Susanne Lighton.
Others present: Jim Vizzier, Harold Lieberens
The meeting was called to order by the Chairman, Clark McClinton.

any action which the Planning Commission may have taken on these plats

the only information found regarding the status was in the Planning
Commission minutes. At the meeting of May 3� .. the motion was made,
• seconded and approved to permit Mrs. Ramsey to extend the 400 existing
street with a 40' right-of-way unless additional information, which would
alter the circumstances, is submitted. The minutes of the Planning
Commission meeting held October 4, 1966 show the preliminary subdivision
plat to be referred to the Subdivision Committee. The Committee was
asked to study the plat and prepare a recommendation as soon as possible.
The Harris Addition file indicates no action on the preliminary plat
since October 6, 1961. After discussion by the Planning Commission
members it was decided to ask the Office of City Planning to check both
of these preliminary plats against the requirements of the City Subdi-
vision Ordinance and obtain the Utility Company approvals.
A review was made of the Planning Commission Committees for 1967.
Mr. Roy Clinton was appointed to replace Susanne Lighton on the Subdi-
vision Committee until such time as Miss Lighton is able to return as
an active member.
The Zoning Administrator was asked to check the Board of Directors
minutes for the expiration of the terms of the present members of this
commission.
The rezoning study, for property in the northeast part of the city, as
initiated by the Planning Commission was discussed.
• Mr. Lieberenz told the members that in the opinion of the City Attorney
the notice of the proposed rezoning would have to be readvertised, to
include the P-lA, Special Church Districts, before final action could be
made by the Planning Commission.

Mr. Jacks asked whether the area for the proposed rezoning should stop
on the north boundary at Stubblefield Road or further north at Mud Creek.
• Discussion followed.
The motion was made by Mr. Jacks to initiate a rezoning amendment of said
property, with the north boundary line to be Stubblefield Road, from al,
Open Land District, to R -1B, Single Family Residential District and rezone
the two existing Church properties within the area to P -1A, Special Church
District. The motion was seconded by Byron Boded and approved without
opposition.
Ernest Jacks moved that the Planning Commission minutes of March 28, April 18,
May 9, May 16 and June 6, be approved as written. Seconded by Allen Gilbert,
approved without opposition.
It was decided, that unless urgent business made meeting sooner imperative,
the next meeting would be held August 8th or 15th, to be decided by the
Office of City Planning.
There being no further business the meeting was adjourned.
