The Planning Commission met in a special meeting Thursday, 10:00 a.m.,
December 15, 1966, in the Directors Room in the City Administration Build-
Members present: Ernest Jacks, Allan Gilbert, Clark McClinton, Wade Fincher
and Henry Shreve.
Members absent: Byran Walker, Suzanne Lighton, Byron Boyd and James Mashburn,
Others Present: Helen Edmiston.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Clark McClinton.
The Chairman said the purpose for this special meetingi.was'to make a
recommendation to the Board of Directors on the petition filed by Helen
Edmiston for the rezoning from I -IA Light Industrial District to R-4 Multi -
Family Residential and Dormitory District property in Evans Farm, a sub-
division of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas.
After the discussion, Henry Shreve moved that the Planning Commission recommend
to the Board of Directors the rezoning from I-lA Light Industrial District to
R-4 Multi -Family Residential and Dormitory District property described as follows:
All of Lot 24, that part of Lot 25 East of Skull Creek, and that part of Lot 23
West of the St. Louis -San Francisco Railroad right of way, all of the lots
being in Evans Farm, a subdivision of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas. The
motion was seconded by Allan Gilbert and passed unanimously. I

WHEREAS, a public hearing was held by the Planning Commission Tuesday,
December 13, 1966, fifteen (15) days after a sign was erected on the.property
and after a notice was published in the Northwest Arkansas Times, a newspaper
of general circulation; and
WHEREAS, at a special meeting held Thursday, December 15, 1966, the
Planning Commission voted to make a recommendation to the Board of Directors
on the rezoning petition filed by Helen Edmiston,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT REC%24ENDED BY THE CITY PLANNING CM1MISSION TO THE
BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:.
SECTION 1. That an ordinance be enacted for the purpose of rezoning
from I-lA Light Industrial District to R-4 Multi -Family Residential and
Dormitory District the following described property:
All of Lot 24, that part of Lot 25 East of Skull Creek, and that
• part of Lot 23 West of the St. Louis -San Francisco Railroad right
of way, all lots being in Evans Farm, a subdivision of the City of
Fayetteville, Arkansas.

SECTION 2. That the above-described property be rezoned from I-lA
to R-4 so that the property may be used in development of multi -family
residential purposes.

Wade Fincher moved to adjourn. The motion was seconded by Henry Shreve and
passed unanimously. The Chairman declared the meeting adjourned.
