HomeMy WebLinkAbout1966-12-13 Minutes• MINUTES OF A CITY PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING The City Planning Commission met in a special meeting at 4:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 13, 1966, in the City Directors room in the City Administration Building, Fayetteville, Arkansas. Members present: Clark McClinton and Allan Gilbert. Members absent: Wade Fincher, Suzanne Lighton, James Mashburn, Henry Shreve, Byron Boyd, Ernest Jacks and Bryan Walker. Others present: J. A. Vizzier and Helen Edmiston. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Clark McClinton. The Chairman said the purpose of this special meeting is to hold a public hearing on the petition filed by Helen Edmiston for the rezoning from, I-lA Light Industrial District to R-4 Multi-Family.Residential and Dormitory District the following described property: All of Lot 24, that part of Lot 25 East of Skull Creek, and that part of.Lot 23 West{df the St. Louis -San Francisco Railroad right of way, all lots being in Evans Farm, a subdivision of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas. The Chairman reported a quorum was not present but that a hearing would be • held. He requested the proponents be heard. Helen Edmiston, petitioner, told those present she had requested the rezoning from I-lA Light Industrial District to R-4 Multi -Family Residential and Dormitory District of the property east of Skull Creek, west of the St..Louis-San Francisco Railroad right of way and south of Sycamore Street so the property could be developed with multi -family residential structures. The Chairman requested the opponents be heard. There was no one present who voiced any objections to the rezoning petition. The Chairman reported the purpose of the public hearing having been accomplished, the hearing on the petition of Helen Edmiston was closed. The Chairman said since a quorum was still not present a special meeting would be called for 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 15, to further consider this petition. 0
