HomeMy WebLinkAbout1963-10-08 MinutesMINUTES OF A CITY PLANNING C0124ISSION AEETING • The Fayetteville City Planning Commission met in a delayed regular meeting at 4:00 p.m, on Tuesday, October 8, 1963, in the City Municipal Court in the City Administration Building. • 40 Members present: J. F. Palmer, Suzanne Lighton, Bryan Walker, George Caudle and Clark McClinton. Also present was Harold E. Lieberenz, City Building Inspector. Members absent: Paul Young, Henry Shreve, Hugh Stubblefield and Bill Dalton. Chairman J. F. Palmer called the meeting to order. The minutes of August 27, 1963, were approved with minor corrections (See Minutes); and the minutes of September 3, 1963, and September 6, 1963, were approved as written and $haled to the members; and the minutes of September 24, 1963, were approved with corrections. The petition of W. A. Lewis and Murry F. Lewis, both of whom were present, for the closing of an alley in A. L. Trent Subdivision of Oak Grove Addition to the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, was submitted to the Planning Commission by -Paul Jameson, attorney for petitioners. Letters from all utility companies were presented for inspection. Clark McClinton moved that the Planning Commission recommend to the City Council the closing of that portion of the alley described as: An alley in A. L. Trent Subdivision of Oak Grove Addition to the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, more particularly des- cribed as follows: Beginning on Davidson Street, at the Southwest corner of Lot 5 in Block 3 and running thence in a Northeasterly direction along the West line of Lot 5 70 feet, more or less, to the Southwest corner of Lot 4 in Block 3; thence West 12 feet; thence in a southwesterly direction along the East line of Lot 3 in Block 3 70 feet, more or less,to the Southeast corner of said Lot 3 in Block 3; thence East 12 feet to the point of beginning. Subject to the perpetual easement and right of the City of Fayetteville, and the Arkansas Western Gas Company to maintain, operate, and service existing lines, or to replace said utility lines or lay additional utility lines, in said area. The motion was seconded by George Caudle and passed unanimously. RESOLUTION PC 18-63 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS: That the City Council favorably consider the petition of Murry F. Lewis and W. A. Lewis within which said petitioners requested the closing of a portion of an alley in A. L. Trent Subdivision of Oak Grove Addition to the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas. PASSED AND APPROVED THISday of A lengthy discussion was had on proposed changes of the zoning ordinance on mobile • homes and of the ordinance on mobile homes (Ordinance No. 1115)• Drafts will be prepared at a later date by the city inspector*s office and presented to the Planning Commission for further study.
