• MINUTES OF FAYETTEVILLE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION
A special meeting of the Fayetteville Planning Commission was called to order at
4:00 p.m. on September 11, 1961.
Planning Commission members present: Mr. Yoe, Miss Lighton, Mr. Stubblefield,
Mr. Shreve, Mr. Caudle, Mr. Young and Mrs. Siegel.
Others present at the meeting: Mr. Bryan Walker, Mr. Raymond Nelson and Mr. H. E.
Lieberenz.
1. An ordinance to repeal Ordinance No. 1255 and to amend Ordinance 1239 was
reviewed by Mr. Nelson. Changes were made in Sections 5 and 12.
Section 5 was changed as follows:
Any vacant lot (lot without structures or a lot on which the structures
have been removed or more than 75% damaged or destroyed as determined by
the Building Inspector) which is located in a residential district within
the city, which was platted and recorded prior to the adoption of this
ordinance (prior to June 13, 1960) and which does not have sufficient land
jzk,ll to conform to the side and rear lot setback requirements of this ordinance,
Ipyy may be used as a building site for a new single-family structure, provided
ll Q that the side yard as defined in Article II, 28 shall have a setback of no
�a 'ib less than five (5) feet, and that the rear yard setback be no less than 20
• feet, and that the lot area and other requirements of the district are met.
In Section 12 the word "doctor" was added to the list of types of work included.
Miss Lighton moved that we recommend to the City Council the approval of the
amendments to the Zoning Ordinance (which are appended to the secretary's copy
of the minutes..) Mr. Shreve seconded the motion which carried.
2. Mr. Yoe then submitted a letter of resignation from the Planning Commission.
Mr. Young moved that we accept with regret and with thanks for the many years
of service on the Commission and for serving as chairman, which he had done so
ably.
There was unanimous approval of the motion.
The meeting was adjourned.
