• MINUTES OF FAYETTEVILLE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION
The members of the Fayetteville City Planning Commission met in regular session on
Tuesday, September 4, 1962, at 3:30 p.m. in the City Council Room in the City
Administration Building.
Present: Mr. J. F. Palmer, Chairman, Mr. Henry Shreve, Mr. George Caudle and Miss
Suzanne Lighton.
Absent: Mr. Clark McClinton, Mr. Paul Young, Jr., Mr. Bill Dalton, Mr. Hugh Stubble-
field and Mr. Bryan Walker,
The Chairman announced that since a quorum was not present, no action could be taken,
but that if the members present wished, there could be an informal discussion of some
pending matters.
A discussion of the question of commercial parking lots in R-4 zones resulted in an
agreement that the present zoning ordinance satisfactorily covers the situation.
A discussion of the 25 foot aide -yard setback required in the zoning ordinance in
I-2 Heavy Industrial Zone resulted in the conclusion that the ordinance is satis-
factory on this point also; the question had arisen in regard to a building which a
Paul Martin wanted to build and that problem was solved by the Board of Adjustment's
action and there is no need for a change of the ordinance otherwise.
• The question of restricting Lot 12, Evelyn Hills Addition, to use for commercial
parking only, instead of leaving it in C-2 district, was discussed and resulted in
an agreement that the lot should be rezoned to R-4
It was informally agreed that these points all should be recommend1tto the Planning
Commission at its next meeting and it was agreed that a special meeting of the
Planning Commission should be called for 4:00 p.m. on Friday, September 7, 1962,
as an adjourned session of this meeting,
Respectfully submit
