• MINUTES OF FAYETTEVILLE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION
A special meeting of the Fayetteville Planning Commission was held at 9:00 a.m.
on April 7, 1961.
Planning Commission members present: Mr. Gose, Miss Lighton, Mr. Stubblefield,
Mr. Caudle and Mrs. Siegel.
Others present at the meeting: Mr. Harold Lieberenz and Mayor Guy Brown.
1. Miss Lighton made a motion to recommend to the City Council that
Mr. Blanton's petition be approved since his purpose is not to
plat his land but to obtain city water.
Mr. Caudle seconded the motion and the motion carried.
2. Mr. Lieberenz discussed the Subdivision Regulations on "lot split".
The recommendation (Section 5) of Mr. Palmer's Committee on Procedures
and Policies reads as follows:
"On special occasions involving no more than two lots - on
property owned by one individual, providing the request
meets all requirements of the zone in which said land is
located: the Building Inspector shall have authority to
issue a permit."
The members of the Planning Commission decided to reconsider the
whole subject of lot split at a future time.
Miss Lighton moved that we adopt that portion (Section 5) of
Mr. Palmer's report since those situations mentioned by Mr. Lieberenz
do not constitute a lot split in the opinion of the Planning
Commission.
Mr. Stubblefield seconded the motion which carried unanimously.
The meeting was adjourned.
