Regular Meeting—October 4, 1960
The Fayetteville City Planning Commission met in regular session at 4:00 p.m.,
October 4, 1960, with George Caudle, chairman, presiding.
Planning Commission members present: Mr. Phelps, Mr. Caudle, Mr. Gose,
Mrs, Siegel, Mr. Stubblefield, Mr. (Garland) Wheeler and Miss Lighton.
(Mr. Wheeler was called away before any action was taken by the Commission
on matters before it, but the remaining members constituted a quorum.)
The matter of the referral to the Planning Commission by the City Council
of the pending question of annexation of territory to the City of Fayetteville
was presented and discussed. The following motion made by Mr. Phelps and
seconded by Mr. Stubblefield was unanimously approved: "The Fayetteville
City Planning Commission approves the plan of annexation developed by a
special committee of the City Council and of the Chamber of Commerce. We
particularly see the urgency of annexation to the North and to the South."
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
