CITY PLANNING
JULY 5, 1960
COTMISSION
The Fayetteville City Planning Commission met in
regular session on Tuesday, July 59 1960, at 4:00 p.m.
with George Caudle, President, presiding, and other%
members present being Emory Gose (who acted as secre-
tary in the absence of the secretary), Hugh Stubblefield,
Jim Phelps and Clay Yoe.
On motion of fdr. Phelps, .seconded by Mr. Yoe, it•
was unanimously voted that, subject to the City Engineer's
approval, the plat of "The Archibald Yell Subdivision",
as submitted, be recommended to the City Council for
approval.
On motion of Mr. Yoe, seconded by Mr. Stubble-
field, it was unanimously voted to recommend to the
City Council the acceptance of a deed from L. M.
McGoodwin and wife and David G. Gosnell and wife, to
the City of Fayetteville for a 50 -foot street to be
known as "Edgewood Drive" being a part of Lot 54,
Jackson Heights Addition to the City of Fayetteville
(the deed dated July 5. 1960, is attached to the copy
of these minutes furnished the City Clerk).
On motion of Mr. Yoe, seconded by Mr. Phelps, it
was unanimously voted to recommend to the City Council
gthe approval of the petition of Vera Noll Lewis for
the closing of a portion of Vinson Street from North
Sequoyah Drive to Maple Streot; the motion,as passed
also included a recommendation on the part of the
Planning Commission that the Council,at the same time,
close Reed Street between Vinson Street and Maple
Street.
There being no further business the meeting ad-
