PARKS & RECREATION
NOTE Due to the time change, Park Staff will be available at the Southern View
Apartments location from 5:00 p.m. until 5:15 p.m. for those PRAB members who
would like to visit the site. Turn off of Highway 62 West onto Old Farmington Road
that goes past Ramay Junior High School. We will meet on the dirt road due west of
West Campus and east of Futrall Drive. See enclosed plat map.

1) The development is providing adequate park services for its patrons, including a
swimming pool, club house, lake, picnic tables, and a playground.
"However, if the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board determines that a neighborhood park is not
feasible or advisable, it may recommend that a cash contribution pursuant to our ordinance be accepted in

lieu of land dedication. The City Council will either accept the recommendation for a cash
contribution or return the subdivision plat to the Parks Board with instructions for further study."

Park Staff recommends the following expenditures from the Park Land Dedication
Fund:
Northeast Park District:
$10,000 Picnic tables and grills for Lake Fayetteville Softball Complex
Picnic tables, grills and sign for Braden Park
Picnic tables and benches for East Mud Creek Trail
$100,000 Lake Fayetteville Spillway Bridge
Northwest Park District:
$10,000 Gary Hampton Softball Complex Equipment Shed
PRAB Motion:
4. Parks and Recreation Advisory Board Applications
November 15, 2002 is the deadline to apply to be on PRAB Each year we have
four positions expiring. This year's term expiration includes Kyle Cook, Wade
Colwell, Gail Eads, and Bob Shoulders.
