Park Land Dedication Ordinance Development: Engineer: Owner: Location: Park District: Priority: Units: Park Apartments (formerly Lakeshore Apts. 1988) Crafton, Tull, and Associates - Chris Parton Jim Lindsey North of Joyce Blvd & west of Park Apartments on the east side of Park Oaks Dr. NE No Priority Assigned 60 Multi Family Units Acres: 7.07 acres Land Dedication Requirement: 1.2 acres Money in Lieu: $22,500 Existing Park Land: Lake Fayetteville (650 acres), Braden Park (2.25 acres), Mudcreek/City Wide Trail (19.92 acres), Sweetbriar (4 acres) Staff Recommendation: Park staff recommends money in lieu of land. 1. The development is located close to 650 aces of park land located at Lake Fayetteville and is also close to Mud Creek Trail with 19.9 acres and Sweetbriar Park with 4 acres. 2. The development would require a land dedication of only 1.2 acres. 3. Park Apartments currently has the following amenities for their renters: 4 gazebos, lake, swing sets, picnic tables, swimming pool, basketball court and tennis court. NOTE: This development previously came before PRAB in 1988 in which PRAB recommended to accept money in lieu of park land. Since then, Park Apartments has built 252 units out of the 360 units approved in 1988. Since twelve years has passed, we are bringing this back to PRAB for further recommendation. PRAB Motion: 4. Botanical Garden Society of the Ozarks, Inc Annual Report: Donna Porter The Botanical Garden Society of the Ozarks, Inc. are required by the lease agreement to make an annual report to PRAB and City Council. • 5. Botanical Garden Society of the Ozarks, Inc. Budget Request: Donna Porter The Botanical Garden Society of the Ozarks, Inc has requested $58,700 from the City for funding in 2001. PRAB needs to make a recommendation to City Council for this request. PRAB Motion: 6. Red Oak Park Public Meeting Report: 7.
