5. Meadowland Park Land Meeting:
• Please check your calendars for a special noon meeting to be held the week of September
18 - 22. This meeting is to review the Meadowland subdivision park land in which the
new Fayetteville Boys and Girls Club is to be built. Parks currently has 3 08 acres of land.
The owner is donating 2 acres to the Boys and Girls Club and has offered to sell them an
additional 7.69 acres at $10,000 per acre. The developer, Butch Robertson, has
consented to deed an additional six acres of land to Parks to be banked on future
developments in the southwest park district. Our legal attorneys have confirmed that
development can be banked on future development as stipulated in the ordinance. The
land dedication of six acres is the issue PRAB needs to vote at the special meeting. Mr.
Robertson and Wischmeyer Architects will be attending to explain the details.
