PARKS AND RECREATION ADVISORY BOARD
Special Meeting Minutes
May 20, 2003
Opening:
A special meeting of the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board was held at 3:00
p.m., April 20, 2003 at the Parks and Recreation Division located at 1455 S.
Happy Hollow Rd., Fayetteville, Arkansas. The purpose of the meeting was to tour
three parcels of land being considered for a community park.
Present:
Parks and Recreation Advisory Board members Hill, Colwell, Eads and Mauritson;
City staff Edmonston, Coles, Hesse, Nelson, Turner and Wright
Tour:
Advisory Board members visited the following three sites:
Location #1: 2805 S. Dead Horse Mountain Rd.
Approximately 1 miles south of Highway 16 E
Assessed value: $1,100,000 or $5,300/acre
• Acreage: 207 acres
Level to rolling pasture land with 35 wooded acres
White River borders southwest property line
Pond exists on site

Access: Good access off of Dead Horse Mountain Rd.
