I. Greathouse Park Bridge Dedication - Mayor Hanna Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

A QUORUM WAS NOT PRESENT.
III. Gulley Park Gate Request: Ken Sullivan
Ken Sullivan, a resident of 1896 E. Township, reported problems with loitering and vandalism at Gulley
Park. Mr. Sullivan said the problems had been occurring over the past nine years and were becoming worse.
This is his second request for a gate to be installed at the parking lot. Mr. Sullivan said the parking lot is
secluded and not patrolled; therefore, vehicles are not respecting park hours and are damaging fencing and
other park amenities. Ms. Thiel encouraged public comment from the neighborhood regarding the installation
of a gate. Mr. Ackerman suggested park staff meet with Mr. Sullivan on site to evaluate the request and make
a recommendation to the Facilities Committee. Ms. Edmonston expressed concerns of parking infringing on
area churches and neighborhoods if denied access to the parking lot and creating more serious problems.
IV. Juvenile Concerns Committee Budget Request
Kyle Russell, Juvenile Concerns Committee Chairman, requested $4,500 for the calendar year 2001. The
money would fund three youth -oriented social activities or events. Ms. Edmonton said budget preparation
would begin July 27 when target budgets would be received. Mr. Russell said the Juvenile Concerns
Committee would appreciate any allocation if the full $4,500 could not be made.
