Committee members, staff, guests and the press visually inspected the property and discussed several possible applications of the land in case it becomes park land. It was stressed that while an "overlook" park does sound attractive - it was mentioned that there are several drawbacks to having an "overlook" park. It was also mentioned that the City has the first action to take on deciding who gets the land, what is to be done with it, and who is to clean it up. Fencing the area off, raquetball courts, handball courts, and skateboard park were mentioned as possibilties. It was mentioned that parks budget should not be spent on cleaning this up this parcel of land. Dan Coody stated that he had been talking to the neighbors surrounding this piece of land and that he did not foresee them having a problem with it becoming an "overlook" park of the city - eventhough there would be night visitors. Tlus is when fencing was brought up to maybe detour nightly visitors.
