Home My WebLink About1997-03-07 - Minutes• • • FACILITIES COMMITTEE SPECIAL MEETING MARCH 7, 1997 A meeting of the Facilities Committee was held at 5:15 p.m., March 7, 1997, on-site at a tract of land located west of Sang Avenue and north of Stone Street in the southwest quadrant. PRAB Members Present: Ackerman, James, King, Thiel Staff Present: Clark, Dugwyler, Orzek, Nelson Guests Present: Tom Hopper, Lindsey Properties/Crafton, Tull & Associates There was not a quorem present. The Committee evaluated a proposal from Hopper who suggested acquiring an approximately 1 acre lot on the southeast corner of Stone Street and Sang Avenue adjacent to Sang Avenue to satisfy the green space requirement. Clark said that decision could not be made; it would have to go before City Council. Dugwyler said we are required by ordinance to take land. The only way City Council would give a variance is to prove that the land is not feasible to develop as a park. Clark suggested that Hopper appeal the PRAB decision to take land. The Planning Commission decision would go to City Council. Meeting adjourned at 5:45 p.m. John Nelson, Parks & Recreation Clerk
