LAKE FAYETTEVILLE TRAIL MEETING
AT LAKE FAYETTEVILLE
SEPTEMBER 20, 1996
Staff Present: Braswell, Clark, Dugwyler, Orzek
Guests Present: Wade Caldwell, Donna Porter, Kay Currey, Chuck Rutherford, Stephen
Miller, 2 Eagle Scouts
The purpose of this special meeting was to discuss the current and future trail at Lake
Fayetteville. Dale Clark discussed that he would like to see the trail stay natural all the way to
behind Lee's house. This could be a starting place for mountain bikers and runners. Dale also
discussed that we could make steps to hold the banks and this would also make a way for the
water to run off.
The three piles of wooden chips were donated by Love Box. This could help in the start
of the running trail from the south fork to the main fork of Clear Creek. It was also discussed that
the trail should be kept along the perimeter of the meadow near Clear Creek to keep the area
open and undisturbed. Wade Caldwell asked Bob Braswell to brush hog west of the markers on
the trees across from Clear Creek.
