JANUARY 6, 1992
The meeting was called to order by Steve Alexander at 5:00 p.m. in
room 326 of the City Administration Building.

I. PRAB Meeting Minutes
MOTION:WASELUES/EINERT
The minutes from the December 16, 1991 meeting were
approved unanimously 5-0.
II. Election of Chairman and Vice -Chairman for 1992.
MOTION:EINERT/ANDERSON
The election of Chairman and Vice -Chairman for 1992 is
tabled until the eighth PRAB member is appointed by the
City Board of Directors.
MOTION APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY 5-0.

IV. Discussion on Lake Sequoyah Land Lease Proposal:
Don Couch had requested in November to lease City
property at Lake Sequoyah to run cattle on and to mow for
hay. Neighbors adjacent to the proposed lease property
requested to discuss the matter. Rick Guyton, and Mark
and Kim Dolan were present at the PRAB meeting stating
their concerns. Guyton stated that he was concerned
about the cattle polluting Lake Sequoyah. He stated that
he could see "... a lot for Fayetteville to gain to keep
it in a natural state." The Dolans also expressed their
concern for the park with cattle on it.
The Facilities Committee will meet at the Lake Sequoyah
site on Thursday, January 9, 1992 at 3:30 p.m.

OTHER BUSINESS
Dale Clark reported that the appraisals for the Walker
Park expansion property and the Lewis Avenue property
were received. City staff have started negotiations with
the Walker family and the University.
Greg Anderson stated that Wade Colwell had voiced to him
that many people using Gulley Park are not interested in
locating a Recreation Center in the park. Many like the
park as it is in keeping it a passive park.
