REGULAR MEETING
OCTOBER 8, 1990

BUSINESS:
MOTION: WHITE/ALEXANDER
I. The minutes from the September 24, 1990 PRAB meeting were
approved unanimously 4-0.
II. ARCHERY CLUB SITE PROPOSAL
John Kelly stated the Club has chosen Lake Wilson for
their new range site. They would like to add a gate (to
stop vandalism), clean up the pavilion, and remove any
underbrush or trees that are necessary to remove. He
also stated the old range at Lake Fayetteville will be
dismantled by November 3.
MOTION: ANDERSON/ALEXANDER
The PRAB approved the Lake Wilson site for the Archery
Club to use for a range providing the Club work with
Parks Director as to where the gate will be, which area
will be used, and what trees may be removed.
MOTION APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY 6-0
III. GREEN SPACE AMENDMENT STATUS
The amendment will move according to the time table. It
will go to the Planning Commission on October 22 and City
Board on November 6. Ryan stated that if any of the
three recommendations might be rejected, the
recommendation could be pulled out of the amendment by
staff.
IV. GREEN SPACE BALANCES
The September 30, 1990 balance were'distributed. Clark
reported Gulley Park bids should be awarded within the
next two weeks. The Northwest money will be spent on
various small projects.
V ROOT PTO MEETING
The PRAB discussed joint funding with the PTO for
playground equipment and benches. Parks staff will send
catalogs to the PTO and a decision will be made on this
at a later date.

VI. CD FUNDING
Facilities Committee will review the list provided by Jan
Simco and the evaluation summary and have report ready at
October 22 meeting.
VII. PARK USER FEES
Ryan presented copy of Little Rock fees that can be
compared to when deciding on new user fees.
OTHER BUSINESS:
LAKE SEQUOYAH
Discussion of Lake Sequoyah included whether the water
level would be lowered in the future, the revenues verses
the expenditures, and whether or not to close the lake.
No decisions were made.

Money in Lieu: $420

The PRAB recommends to the Planning Commission to take
money, $420, in lieu of the land dedication for the green
space dedication for Aarrori Subdivision.
