REGULAR MEETING
JULY 16, 1990
The meeting was called to order by Wade Colwell at
room 326 of the City Administration Building.

MOTION: WASELUES/KIMBROUGH
I. The minutes from the July 2, 1990 meeting were approved 5-0.
with the exception of the issue of Leverett Property under
other business in which White gave a negative vote not
abstained.
II. GREEN SPACE
Green Meadows Addition
Owner/Developer: Howard Sanders
Location: on Mt. Comfort, N of Hamstring
Park District: NW
Number of Units: 89
Land Dedication: 1.11 acres
Money in lieu: $9,345
Colwell stated that there is a fast approaching need for a
park in this area. Asbell and the proposed Davis Park are
the only parks in the area. Northwest Engineer, Harry
Gray, gave his opinion on good areas for a park.
MOTION:ALEXANDER/ANDERSON
The PRAB tabled this issue until a ruling on whether Salem
Road will be extended is made.
MOTION APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY 7-0
III. GREEN SPACE PROGRESS
SOUTHWEST:
The Youth Center playground is in construction and will be
done in August.
The Leverett playground has been purchased but not
installed.

NORTHWEST:
The pre -construction meeting for Asbell soccer field is
July 17, 1990. 'The contract may cost more than anticipated
because of the soil condition.
Specification will be written for the Asbell bleachers in
October. ($700)
MOTION: AL.EXAANDER/COL.WEL.i.
The PRAB recommends to develop a master plan of Walnut
Grove. The plan will be in two stages, preliminary and
final.
MOTION APPROVED 5-1 (1 ABSTAINED)
NORTHEAST:
Work will begin after a meeting with Merlin Seamon.
Kimbrough requested that if there is any extra green space
money in the Northeast that it be recommended for use at
Lake Fayetteville ballpark.
OTHER BUSINESS:
Robertson talked with Dolly Black from Lake Fayetteville
Boatdock. There are people going through the ditch around
the permenant gate. Clark reported that there are plans to
further barricade around the gate tomorrow.
The meeting adjourned at 6:45 p.m.
