REGULAR MEETING
FEBRUARY 5, 1990
called to order by Dale Clark at 5:05 p.m. in room
Administration Building.

MOTION:ALEXANDER/COLWELL
I. Election of PRAB officers: Chairman -Rodney Ryan
The election of vice chairman and secretary will be held
after all new members have met each other.
MOTION APPROVED UNANIMOUSLY 7-0

II. Election of committees: Ryan gave description on
committees and stated that he would like to assign the
committees over the next week and present them at the next
meeting. He also stated that he would like to meet with the
new PRAB members for an orientation of the Parks Division.

III. The minutes from the January 8 and January 18, 1990
meetings were approved unanimously 7-0.
IV. LAKE FAYETTEVILLE
Vance Arnold, a new home owner by Lake Fayetteville North
had complaints of major -disturbances in the parking lot.
He stated that cars pull in the lot about every night
playing loud music and making a lot of noise. After
looking over the area in the light, he discovered
hypodermic needles, CO2 cartridges, liquor bottles, and
other such paraphernalia. He asked that the Parks Division
put up a fence or other structure to prevent cars from
pulling into the lot after dark. He has called the police
on several occasions and they have run the offenders off
the property. The facilities committee will view the area
and come up with a solution.

money, $2,415, in lieu of the land.

Location: South of Regency Estates
Park District: NE
Singe Family Dwellings: 21
Land Dedication Requirement: .26 Acres
Money in Lieu: $2,205
MOTION:ALEXANDER/ROBERTSON
The PRAB recommends to the Planning Commission take money,
$2,205, in lieu of the land.

Ferguson Addition b
Owner/Developer: Francis Ferguson
Location: West of Hwy 265, North of Country Way
Park District: NE
Single Family Dwellings: 24
Land Dedication Requirement: .3 Acres
Money in Lieu: $2,520
MOTION:COLWELL/KIMBROUGH
PRAB is considering a land dedication for this green space.
Rezoning has not been approved yet so PRAB will wait for
approval to make a decision.

VI. GREEN SPACE ORDINANCE REPORT
Edmonston stated that she talked with Jerry Rose, the City
Attorney. They are in the process of coming up with an
ordinance that will decide when green space money must be
spent. She will report back on what is decided.

VII. Clark gave a report on the 1990 budget. He told the Board
that a 107. cut is presently being done. There is an
$800,000 deficit that would be effective if funds are not
cut this year.
VIII. Edmonston reported that the Spring Dance program will begin
on February 12. This session will include a drill team
course for 7th graders.
V. Ryan and Clark will discuss a date for the PRAB/City Board
Annual Meeting and report back to the Board.
OTHER BUSINESS:
Alexander recommended that the Board send letter of
appreciation to the 1989 PRAB members.
The meeting adjourned at 7:05 p.m.
