PARKS AND RECREATION DIVISION
REGULAR MEETING
AUGUST 7., 1989
Charlie Sego called the Regular Meeting of the Parks and Recreation
Advisory Board to order at 5:05 p.m.
Member present: Lucas, Melton, Ryan, Sego, Colwell
Staff present: Clark, Cox
Business:
I. Minutes were approved as written.
II. City Pool Report was discussed. Average attendance this
month is 347 which is down from last month.
III. The Use of Facilities Report was discussed. The fields used
as soccer fields are multipurpose fields and are to be
reserved by anyone that uses them for league play. They are
being used spring, summer, and fall by the Soccer
Association. This is causing great wear and tear on the
fields. In accordance with the Park Usage Policy, the
Soccer Associationis in total violation of the use of
facilities. Many ideas were discussed on how to approach
them and finally one was decided upon. Melton made a motion
that we send a copy of the Facilities Report, a letter
explaining it, and a reservation form for the fields to the
President of the Soccer Association. Lucas seconded this
motion and the motion was carried.
Other Business:

IV. Clark told the Board that the Easement on the Right of Way
at Gulley Park had been approved by the City Board of
Directors, and when signed (by Winwood Baptist Church, a
fence will be built along the .property line between the
Church and Park Property.
