Gulley Park easement off of Township MOTION: YARBROUGH/MELTON PRAB recommends that the survey that cost $500 regarding an easement 40' on both sides of the creek and purchase of the creek be paid for out of the Gregory Trust Fund. Motion passed unanimously. (7-0) IV. Joe Collins; Purchase of City Property: Mr Collins requested to purchase 3 acres of city property adjacent to his property near Lake Sequoyah. Mr. Collins had the land appraised at $2,000/acre. The intent for the land is to be used to build a parts store or a chicken house. PRAB tabled this until the 1989 Spring Tour. V. Lake Sequoyah Trot/Jug Line & Night Fishing: Gordon Mhoon, spokesman, presented reason against night fishing and trot/jug/limb lines at Lake Sequoyah. The lake area is too small for this type of fishing would deplete the lake's supply of fish too fast to be replenished. City would loose half its revenues over the next two years due to the lake being over fished. Boat owners are skeptical of night fishing and the security of their equipment. PRAB agreed to check with the City Attorney about legalities of "navigable streams" and to keep James Woods, current Lake Sequoyah Boat Dock Operator, informed of any information and action taken on the matter. VI. Preparation for City Board & PRAB Annual Meeting; March 7, 1989: PRAB will meet on Thursday, February 23 and Monday, February 27 to prepare the Annual Report.
