VI. City Ordinance restrictions on night fishing and use of
trot and jug lines at Lake Sequoyah:
Mr. Donald Ray Wood expressed his concerns about the
City Ordinances and State Laws governing bodies of water
for fishing purposes. His questions included:
1. Can any one city determine what type of fishing
they allow on city owned facilities?
2. Does a river with a dam become classified as a
"Navigable Stream"? If so, does it mean that
citizens can fish that body of water at any
time in any manner?
Mr. Wood also expressed a need for signs along the river
designating city Owned property. Dale Clark agreed to
take these concerns to Jim McCord, City Attorney, for further
investigation. Dale will also be keeping Mr. Wood informed
