REGULAR MEETING
DECEMBER 19, 1988
Chairman Bill Waite called the Regular Meeting of the Parks and
Recreation Advisory Board to order at 5:10 p.m.

I. Minutes of the Regular Meeting, held December 5,
1968, were approved.
II. Lake Fayetteville Boat Dock Ordinance and
Regulations:
MOTION: LUCAS/RYAN
PRAB recommends to the City Board of Directors
that the Lake Fayetteville Boat Dock Ordinance
stall rental and land storage fees be raised as
follows:
1. Stall rental be raised from $120/year to
2180/year.
2. Boat storage be raised from $12/year to
$120/year.
These rate increases are comparable to •
other boat dock stall and storage rates.
This increase would allow the facility to
become more self -supportive and would
accelerate the future development of
additional boat stalls at Lake Fayetteville.
Currently there are sixty people on the
waiting list for stall rentals.
Dale Clark suggests that an outside
consultant be considered for a water quality
study at some point in the future.
The PRAB Facilities Committee and the Lake
Fayetteville Boat Dock Operator also
discussed the items below. Additional signs
such as "No Wakes" and "Daily Fishing Permit
Required" are needed. If the City Board
revises the Lake Fayetteville Ordinance fees,
current renters will be advised of the fee

increase and a contract for stall and storage
renters will be devised. Stall renters
payment should be due by January 14, and 30
day delinquent renters will have their boat
removed from the stall to land storage. If
not paid within 30 additional days, the boat
will be the property of the City and sold.
Motion passed unanimously. (6-0)
III. Annual PRAB/City Board Meeting:
The date for the annual City Board and PRAB
meeting as is established by ordinance will
be set at the next PRAB meeting.
IV. Other Business:
Due the holidays, the next PRAB meetings will
be on the second and third Mondays of
January, 1989.
