Major Bill Spurgeon Minutes of the Regular PRAB Meeting, held October 17, 1986 were approved. ARMY ROTC - SGT. MAJOR BILL SPURGEON Army ROTC is needing a training site for the Ranger Challenge Team which competes nationally. A 300ft x 60ft area is required for a temporary facility to be used 3-5 years. Generally, the facility will be used on Saturdays with occasional weekday afternoons. The months of January and February will make up 90X of the usage time. Lake Wilson and Lake Fayetteville were considered and found unacceptable by the ROTC group. Combs Park is the most desirable location. MOTION; Army ROTC Challenge from Dale SEGO/RYAN may utilize Combs Park for the Ranger Team with coordination of location Clark. Motion passed unanimously. (8-0) GREFNSPACE Gregg Avenue Project Owner/Developer: Steve Cummings Location: W. side or Grego St, (between Lawson St. and Holly St.i Park District: NW Multi -Family Units: 24 Land Requirement; .24 acres Money in Lieu: $22.040 • MOTION: YARBROUGH/RYAN PRAB makes the recommendation to accept $22,040, in lieu of a land dedication for the Green Space requirement in the Gregg Avenue Project. Motion passed unanimously. (8-0) G R c FNSPA C Foster Addition 'Owner/Developer: Mart. Foster Location: between Rockwood Trail and Manor Drive Park District: Sc Single Fam. Units: Land Requirement: .18 acres Money in Lieu: $1.575 MOTION: YARBROUGH/R;YAN PRAB makes 44e: r=rommndation to accept $1.575, in lieu of a land dedication for the Green Spar;_ requirement in the Foster Addition Motion passed unanimously. (8-O) Green Space Report The Green Space Report will be mailed with the minutes to be reviewed at the next meeting. IV. 7th Annual Turkey Trot The 5 mile Turkey Trot will be held on Sunday, November 13 at 2:OO pm. at Lake Fayetteville Softball Complex. This race is the last of the year in the Grand Prix Race Series. Currently, there are 40 runners who have pre-registereu. This includes 3 civic groups relay teams.
