MOUNTAIN 72701 (501) 521-7700 PRAB Regular Meeting March 21, 1988 Vice Chairman Beverly Melton called the Regular Meeting of the and Advisory Board to order at 5:00,p.m. Members Present: Staff Present: Guests Present: BUSINESS: I. Parks Colwell, Lashley, Lucas, Melton Clark, Edmonston, Speck Jerry Jensma, McClelland Engineers Curtis Sergeant, Representing the Baptist Student Union Minutes of the Regular PRAB Meeting, held March 7, 1988 were approved. II. WILSON PARK TENNIS COURT REQUEST - Curtis Sergeant The Baptist Student Union at the University of Arkansas requested the use of Wilson Park for hosting an inter- national students picnic and tennis tournament. An entry fee of one dollar ($1.00) will be charged to help cover the cost of a trophy. MOTION: COLWELL/LASHLEY PRAB recommends the Baptist Student Union of. Arkansas be allowed to use Wilson Park for international friends, and that three reserved on Saturday, April 2, from 1'O:OO Motion passed unanimously. PRAB requested the Baptist Student Union group place signs reserving the areas for the International Friends, prior to the date and time. at the University to h'ost's picnic tennis' courts be a.m. - 2:00 p.m. III. COMMITTEE APPOINTMENTS = Edmonston The assignment of committees was postponed until the next PRAB meeting. IV. RADIO CONTROLLED AUTO RACE TRACK - Clark Clark reported he had visited the track at Lake Fayetteville with the participants. The group appears to be well pleased with the location; they have placed a lock on the gate; and they welcome the opportunity to use the track and understand that if there is a need, they will relocate. GULLEY PARK - Conceptual Plan -Clark Edmonston Clark, Edmonston requested that PRAB prioritize recommendations for the Gulley Park so that a conceptual plan can be prepared, to be returned to the Facilities and Development Committee and. Clark, Edmonston, by March 25. PRAB was in agreement that Colwell could mow a pathway around the perimeter of the park. VIII. SPRING TOUR DATE,= Clark,Edmonston Saturday, April 16, 1988, 8:00 a.m. Meet at Wilson Park. IX. BOAT DOCK OPERATOR- Clark PRAB recommends that Jim Black, former Boat Dock Operator at War Eagle, be presented to the City Board for consideration as the Lake Fayetteville Boat Dock Operator.
