WALKER PARK NORTH SOCCER FIELDS
Clark reported that the Soccer Club has requested increasing
a soccer field to the maximum regulation field size. The
soccer club also requested that the fields be irrigated, and
the club indicated willingness to put some money into it.
PRAB suggested a written agreement should be written up as
to what and how muchmoney the soccer club will assist with.
PRAB stressed that they had a lot of other programs to con-
sider for the budgeted money available. The City Engineering
Division is currently drawing the plans and specifications for
the fields.
PRAB stated questions listed below, as well as others need
to be answered:
How much work can be completed within the
available funding.
How about using the Green Space Fee money.
Do we need bleachers.
PRAB requested that the Soccer Club be invited to attend the
next PRAB meeing on June 15, 1987, at 5:30 p.m.
PRAB also disccused that if the fields were irrigated, the
soccer club would need to pay for the water bills, instead
of coming out of the Parks Budget.
PRAB talked about drilling a well and an impoundment.

II. YOUTH CENTER DAY 'CAMP AND LATCHKEY PROGRAM
Clark expressed the need for a shelter for a meeting place
at Lake Fayetteville South Park. The Day Camp Program is
filled for all summer, and is needing to be expanded. Lake
Fayetteville South. Park would be an ideal meeting place if
a large pavilion or meeting room were available.
Clark also expressed the demand and need to expand the
Summer Latchkey Program for ages four to seven to Asbell
Pavilion. The Youth Center Board will determine the
feasibility and the scheduling to expand the above pro-
grams and will work' with PRAB for park facilities.
An additional bus will be needed, along with additional
supervisory staff.
