May 18, 1987
The Regular Meeting of the. Parks and Recreation Advisory
Board came to order at 5:02 p.m., Room 326, City Hall.
Minutes of the April 6, April 20, May 4, Regular PRAB
meetings were approved. Correction: April 6, Item IV
Spelling of the name of Don McElhaney.

MINUTES
CITY POOL OPENING -Memorial Weekend, Saturday, May 23, NOON
Connie Edmonston presented PRAB with a City Pool schedule
and update on the new programs. During July and -August,
the Pool Will be opened until 10:00 p.m., Monday through
Friday evenings. Swimming lessons will start June 1 and
are expanded to six lessons_ of morning and evening lessons.
Aqua Aerobis program has expanded to meet in the mornings
and evenings, also. (See Pool Schedule.)
WILSON PARK
PRAB discussed that Wilson Park needs to be scheduled more
to be mowed and the trash picked up since it is our busiest
park.. PRAB recommended to look into more attractive trash
cans and/or covers.
NEXT PRAB MEETING
David Lashley invited PRAB to meet and dine at Butterfield
Trail Village at the next PRAB Meeting on June 1, 1987.
PRAB will hold their monthly meeting at Butterfield Trail
Village, at 5:00 p.m., followed by dinner.
OTHER BUSINESS
PRAB discussed having a summer PRAB/family picnic. Date
will be determined later.
