DRAWER F 72702 (501) 521-7700 PRAB REGULAR MEETING March 16, 1987 The Regular Meeting of the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board came to order at 5:00 p.m. Minutes of the March. 2, 1987 PRAB meeting were approved. Colwell, Lashley, Lucas, Melton, Ryan, Waite, Yarbrough, York Clark, Edmonston, Reid, Speck Jim Lindsey, Anita Whillock ADULT CENTER - Anita Whillock Anita Whillock reported that money requests for the Adult Center this fiscal year from the Quorum Court was down. MOTION: RYAN/YARBROUGH PRAB recommends that the City Board of Directors supplement the Adult Center with $2,244. as re- quested. Motion passed unanimously. (8-0) IS.. QUAIL CREEK PROPOSED PARK CLARK Mr. Clark reported that the. City Planning Commission tabled action on the Quail Creek. Proposed Park. PRAB reviewed an appraisal and will hold a special meeting on Wednesday, March.18, 1987, at 5:00 p.m., to look over the prospective park. sites. I.IL. HUNT PROPOSAL '= CLARK. Clark .stated that Jack Crie needs to get. back. with. his people and that Hal Brown is concerned about the. Hunt proposal; however, PRAB recommended that Mr. Lindsey talk further with. :Mr Hunt for additional recommendations. Iv. V. SQUARE GARDEN 'CLARK A $20.,000 bid has been .let for care of the Square. VI. BRIGHAM PROPOSED PARK - CLARK Clark he had visited with the Brigham's, who were not sa.isfied with the appraisal; therefore, Mr. Brigham suggested the proposed park be tabled in- definitely. VII.
