REGULAR MEETING
October 6, 1986
The Regular Meeting of the Parks and Recreation Advisory
Board came to order at 4:00 p.m.
MINUTES: Minutes of the September 15, 1986 meeting were approved
as mailed.
BUSINESS:
I. 17th ANNUAL AUTUMNAL TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIP - Dr. Ryan
WILSON PARK
PRAB authorized the Fayetteville Tennis Association to
use the Wilson Park Tennis Courts for their 17th Annual
Autumnal Tennis Championship to be held October 24, 25,
26, 31, and November 1, 2, 1986.
II. LEWIS AVENUE SOCCER FIELDS - DR. RYAN
PRAB requested the Facilities Committee to visit with
Dr. Park Waldroup and Dr. Gerald Musick to discuss
practicable means of acquiring approximately 20 acres
east of Asbell School for soccer fields use.

The Facilities 'Committee will meet on Thursday,
October 16, between 1:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m., at
the Youth Center to study this matter further.
III. AD HOC COMMITTEE - LUCAS, MELTON
PRAB reviewed the minutes of the September 16, 1986
Ad Hoc Committee on Policies. Changes and/or cor-
rections were made. The Committee Report will be
placed on the next PRAB agenda.

IV. LAKE FAYETTEVILLE BOATDOCK/BUILDING - FEDOSKY
Ed Fedosky reported an estimated cost of $6,000 for a
metal building. He stated Arkansas University proposed
to erect a metal building at Lake Fayetteville Boatdock
for storage of sailboats. This concert will be discussed
with The Fayetteville City Board at the Annual Meeting.
Mr. Fedosky also presented cost estimates for a sailing
sailboat dock at $1,374. This figure does not include
labor or dict work.
V. PRAB-CITY BOARD' ANNUAL' MEETING
The Annual PRAB-CITY Board Meeting will
October 21, 1986, from 6:00 p.m. - 7:00
