MOUNTAIN 72701 (501) 521-7700 PRAB REGULAR MEETING May 19, 1986 The Regular Meeting of the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board came to order at 4:00 p.m. MINUTES: Minutes of the May. 5, 1986 meeting were approved as mailed. BUSINESS: I.. PRAB PARK TOURS PRAB accepted the reports of Spring, .Tour I, April 22, 1986 and Spring Tour II, April: 29, 1986, which are an addenda to these minutes. II. PROPOSED PARK ON GREGG- STREET MOTION: LASHLEY/YORK. PRAB'rec'ommends' 12'..59 acres be acquired from Bishop' and Lindsey as' drawn On the'map proposed as Quail' Creek 'Park.'Unanimously approved. 18-0) III. GREEN SPACE Mr. Wade Bishop .joined PRAB, expressing thedesire to trade out land from one quadrant to another .(east side of Summer Hill addition.) PRAB asked Connie Edmonston to request a legal opinion todetermine the legality of .such a trade out so that the Matter could be placed on the May 27 City Planning Board Agenda. Location: North of Stubblefield Road Single Family Units:. 83 Green Space Land Requirement: 1.03.75 Acres Green Space Money in Lieu: $8,715 MOTION: WAITE/LASHLEY PBAB makes .the recommendation to accept money in lieu of a 'land dedication for: the Green —Space requirement In the: Yorktown Square 'sub -division. North side of Paradise Valley on Joyce Street .2625 Acres $2,205 MOTION; WAITE/LASHLEY PRAB makes the recommendation to accept money in lieu of a land dedication for the Green Space requirement in the Paradise Valley sub -division. Motion passed unanimously. (8-0) Since there may be a counter proposal from Mr. Lindsey, to the City Board Connie Edmonston, recommendation at May 27, 1986. via and the the Planning Commission, Dale Clark, David Lashley will make the PRAB Planning Commission Meeting on HUMANE SOCIETY SHELTER REQUEST Dr. Jan Hale, representing the Humane Society, indicated to date Lake Fayetteville North Shore Park was the pre- ferred site for the proposed Animal Shelter; however, PRAB recommend the County Fair Board be contacted.
