MOUNTAIN 72701 (501) 521-7700 PRAB PRESENT: PRAB STAFF: PRAB SPRING TOUR PART II April 29, 1986 Rodney Ryan, Beverly Melton, Bob Emerson, Andy Lucas, J.O. York, Chuck Yarbrough Dale Clark, Connie Edmonston The Spring Park Tour started at 6:45 am at Walker Park on Tuesday, April 29, 1986. The following suggestions and recommendations were made by PRAB. WALKER PARK Diagonal parking alont 13th Street and possibly Block Street (Staff to investigate possibility) Pavillion need painting Sand under merry-go-round - Tot Play fenced area needs renovation!!! - Insert cement slabs or something along the north fence infront of Bloack Street so that cars do not damage the fence - On north entry gate need two handicapp parking spaces and curb cut Little League field #4 right field is low and the creek runs through it. Needs repaired. 1 Little League Fields need the double gates repaired Use open area west of the park for parking. Entrance off of 15th Street - need walking bridge to cross creek. Leave the upper part north of the tree vacant for horticulturist's nursery. Need picnic tables on the WALKER PARK NORTH southwest end of park. - Need more benches. - Need to weedeat - Naval Reserve Parking Lot gates Basketball goals are too high. Club needs to finish retaining wall. PROPOSED PARK - Gregg Street & Future Drake Street Extension * Pursue purchase of land. GREEN SPACE PARK - Bryce Davis (Highway 16 West) * Park to be dedicated this summer. CHARLES J. FINGER PARK * Need Park Sign off of Highway 62 to the park * Barn will be torn down soon. * Mowers to pickup glass/paper before they mow over them SPRING PARK TOUR ADJOURNED 9:20 pm. Concrete pads underneath bleachers COMBS PARK - Entry road to be completed July -August Model Airplane Club at next PRAB meeting CROSSOVER PARK Neighborhood quick claim deed on entry road City Attorney made legal documents for a quick claim deed - To be discussed at next PRAB meeting ASBELL PARK Pursue Soccer fields adjacent to park with the University Keep soccer out of the softball field Next year Asbell Soccer fields for ages 8 and under and Walker Park North fields for ages 9 and up - Parking post needs replaced by softball field #1 Need cement slaf infront of drinking fountain • HOTZ PARK - Railroad ties too close to playground equipment.
