The Chairman of each committee is to outline the goals
of their committee to present to PRAB for their review.
III. Wilson Park Headquarters Renovation:
Albert Skiles presented a conceptual plan for renovation
of the rock headquarters in Wilson Park. He addressed
the following renovation tactics:
1) French drainage system to prevent deterioration of
the building. Skiles stated that the rock buildings
are sound, but that there is a severe flooding/
drainage problem to correct.
2) Hip design roof on buildings. (Set roof on top of
building. There is a one foot difference in levels
of the three buildings.)
3) Privacy fence behind building for storage.
4) Roofs extended for added covered storage area.
5) Landscape front of buildings
6) Solar greenhouse on south side of building
7) Middle room used as public meeting room

Phase Renovation & Cost Estimates:
Drainage: $8,000-$10,000
Exterior Renovation: /$10,000-$15,000
(Roof, sand blasting rock, windows)
Interior Renovation: $15,000-$20,000
Site: $10,000-$12,000
(Curb, sidewalks, asphlat parking lot)
Total Project Cost: $43,000-$57,000
PRAB Discussion:
Take a survey to see what groups would use the
meeting room and their needs. The meeting room
is 960 square feet. Also need to consider the
Arts/Crafts Room; cleaning and scheduling the
building; checking out recreational equipment;
Daycare meeting room.
MOTION: Ryan/Melton To turn the renovation
conceptual plan to the Program Committee for
review and justification. Motion passed unanimously
(7-Ol.
IV. Finger Park:
The American Society of Landscape Architect awarded
the Master Plan of Charles Finger Park designed by
Dr. Albert Einert and Merle Seamon. Dr. Einert and
Merle Seamon presented PRAB with a certificate
awarding the design of the park.
V. PRAB/City Board Annual Meeting:
The Annual Meeting as set by the City Ordinance for
the Parks Board to report to the City Board is set for
Tuesday, January 21 at 6pm, City Hall.
