Special Meeting
PRAB
March 11, 1985
The Parks and Recreation Board came to order at 4:05 pm.
MINUTES: Minutes of the March 4, 1985 meeting were approved
with the following addition: B: Soccer Report:
Walker Park North preparation of the
soccer fields is on hold until the ground
dries up, so that the fields can be
leveled. The Horticulturist will reseed
the current bare areas.
Minutes approved Melton/York 6-0.
BUSINESS:
I. PRAB Annual Meeting with City Board of Directors - March 12, 1985
Agenda: I. Introduction: Rodney Ryan
II. Development & Maintenance: Bill Waite
III. Program- Beverly Melton
IV. Budget & Future Development: David Lashley
V. Discussion Session
II. Breen Space
PRAB discussed that the word "Green Space" was very
misconceived by the developers. "Park Ordinance" or
"Park Development Plan" would be a better term to use
instead of the "Green Space Ordinance".
III. Planning Commission
PRAB considered meeting with the Planning Commission in
presenting an orientation session to the parks and to
discuss what plans they had for parks in the future.
Motion: York/Melton To ask the Planning Commission
if they would like to meet with PRAB to have an orien-
tation session to the parks and a discussion period.
Motion passed unanimously 7-0.
IV. Spring Park Tour Date
The date of the Spring Park Tour for PRAB is tentatively
set for Saturday, April 27th starting at 8am. PRAB members
are to check their calendars to confirm the park tour date
at the next PRAB meeting.
